Return & Refund Policy (EU 14-day returns)
At Vaileudecor, operated by Vaileu Limited Liability Company, we take pride in the authenticity and craftsmanship of our rustic furniture. To maintain the highest standards of quality and fairness, our return policy is governed by the following strict conditions.
1. Mandatory Return Conditions
Returns are accepted only if they meet the following criteria:
- Unused Condition: Products must be unused, un-assembled, and in the exact same condition as when you received them.
- Original Packaging: All items must be returned in their original packaging, including all protective materials and documentation.
- Natural Wood Characteristics: Natural variations in wood (grain patterns, knots, color shades, or textures) are unique hallmarks of authentic rustic furniture and are not considered manufacturing defects.
- Exceptions & Exclusions: Any item showing signs of assembly, modification, or use after delivery is strictly ineligible for return.
- Custom & Personalized Orders: Handcrafted pieces made to order or personalized are non-returnable unless they arrive with a confirmed manufacturing defect or verified transit damage.
2. Return Shipping Costs & Liability
Who covers the cost of return shipping depends on the reason for the return:
- Manufacturing Defects or Transit Damage: If the return is due to a confirmed manufacturing error or damage sustained during the initial delivery process, Vaileudecor will completely cover all return shipping costs.
- Other Reasons (Change of Mind): For "change of mind" or standard returns within the eligible window (14 days for EU / 30 days for USA), the customer is responsible for all return shipping fees to our designated hubs.
3. 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (European Union Customers)
In compliance with EU consumer protection laws, customers residing in the European Union have a specific right to cancel:
- Period: You have 14 days from the day of delivery to request a return.
- Process: Even within this window, the Mandatory Return Conditions listed in Section 1 must be strictly followed.
- EU Return Hub: Returns are processed at our local facility: Mihlaer Str. 62, 99826 Bischofroda, Germany.
4. 30-Day Return Policy (United States Customers)
For our customers in the United States, we offer an extended window for peace of mind:
- Period: You may request a return within 30 days of receiving your item.
- Eligibility: All returns must strictly adhere to the Mandatory Return Conditions outlined in Section 1.
5. Damaged or Defective Items
If your item arrives with confirmed manufacturing defects or sustained damage during transit by our global and local carriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS, DPD, GLS, or Hermes):
- Notification: Please contact us at support@vaileudecor.com within 48 hours of delivery.
- Evidence: You must provide clear photos of both the damaged product and the external packaging (showing the shipping label).
- Resolution: Once verified, we will arrange a replacement or a full refund, and we will completely handle all logistics costs involved.
6. Refund Process
- Inspection: Once your return is received at our logistics hub, it will undergo a thorough inspection.
- Approval: If the item meets all mandatory conditions, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 3 – 5 business days.
